Wastewater Engineers, Inc.
Wastewater Engineers, Inc. is a specialist company dedicated entirely to pretreatment of industrial and commercial effluent. We emphasize a 'Reduce, Recycle & Reuse' philosophy whenever possible.
Wastewater Engineers designs, builds, and services wastewater treatment systems for smaller effluent generators. A typical client of ours generates between 1,000 and 50,000 gallons per month of process effluent. Our systems are designed to be operated by custodial skill level personnel and incorporate non-hazardous treatment chemistries. Our systems are Simple, Safe and Cost Effective. We have developed a unique and powerful technology and accompanying hardware that is a comfortable fit with the culture of the small generator.
Chemical Products:
Reactant Powders: the heart of our technology. Our line of Reactant Powders incorporate time tested water treatment technology in an easy to use, non-hazardous powder. When added to wastewater, these powders encapsulate contaminants into a chemical matrix known as a flocculent or floc. This floc can then be filtered out, leaving clean water behind.

Overview of Chemistries
Biocatalytic - Biocatalytic enzymes interact by temporarily binding with pollutants altering their structure and rendering them harmless. Once the chemical reaction occurs the biocatalytic agents are freed to continue interaction with more of the pollutant.
Destructive Adsorption - In this method, our agents alter the structure of the pollutant by adhering to an open binding site. This destroys the noxious, vaporous properties of the parent compound.
Encapsulation - This method is applied when a rapid lowering of the vapor pressure or Lower Explosive Level (LEL) of Volatile Organic Compounds is required. In this process, our agents encase the pollutant in an ultra-fine film. Once micro-encapsulation occurs the process is permanent and the hydrocarbon molecule can no longer emit (impose) a vapor pressure.
